Among the most popular things to do in Austin is to ride on the Guadalupe Street Drag. This old school district boasts a little bit of everything from antique shops to co-ops to record stores. Although not all parts of the Drag look nice, this is a fun way to spend a day or two.

Some of the most unique attractions in the Austin area include the Celtic Cultural Center of Texas. A yearly concert at the center brings together hundreds of Irish and Scottish musicians for an amazing experience. Also, the city is a great place to watch the sunset.

While you are in the Austin area, check out the Texas State Capitol. Built in 1888, the building is 311 feet high and is one of the tallest in the country. You can also take a guided tour of the capitol.
